James P. Gannon![]() Jim has been an owner and broker of Old Hawaii Realty since 1985. He was born and raised on a large family farm in Iowa and graduated from Iowa State University in Agriculture. In 1979, he and his wife Angela sailed to the Hawaiian Islands in their 35 foot Ketch, "You and Me", they went on to sail the South Pacific and eventually settled in paradise on the Big Island of Hawaii. After settling on the Big Island, they lived and raised four children on a coffee farm in Keauhou Mauka. They have since built their dream home in the Holualoa area on a 20 acre parcel that Jim subdivided and developed. Jim has a passion for responsible land development, has a wealth of knowledge in this area and has been quite successful with his projects.

He made a living as a landscaper, farmer and substitute teacher until joining the Old Hawaii Realty team in 1988. He and his wife raised two boys and in 1993 opened their own realty firm, Keffer Properties. Over the course of the next 15 years he used his maturing knowledge of tropical agriculture to establish a successful career representing buyers and sellers of rural, farm and estate properties in North and South Kona. He rejoined Old Hawaii Realty in 2010. He now runs Keffer Land Management Services and continues to farm 10 acres in South Kona.

Angela R. Gannon![]() Angela was born and raised in New York, but always had a longing to travel. She graduated from Queens College with a B.A. in Early Childhood Education and went on to complete her Masters in Education from Iowa State University. Angela met her husband Jim while traveling in Greece and after many adventures settled on the Big Island. They lived and sailed in the South Pacific for almost three years and only after having two children did they decide to find a permanent home. After settling on the Big Island twenty one years ago, they became coffee farmers. It was a perfect place and situation to raise their four children. Angela joined Old Hawaii Realty is 1986 and eventually became an owner along with her husband Jim. She enjoys yoga, hiking, tennis and hopes to continue traveling again now that the children are grown. She enjoys working with people and takes joy in helping them satisfy their real estate needs.
